Publishing scientific results in international, peer-reviewed journals is considered as one of the most recognized achievements in today's international academic world. The overall aim of this training is to provide an in-depth introduction on the peer-review process and to give you a better understanding of challenges of publishing in international peer-reviewed journals. You will get introduced to the most important aspects of the preparation, writing and submission process in the course of a video lecture that you can access prior to meeting in a digital environment (WEBEX).
In particular you will understand the principles of the peer-review process and get an overview on the process of writing, preparing and submitting a scientific paper.
The training consists of a well-balanced mixture of lectures, exercises, and discussions. You will be introduced to the different perspectives of the author, the reader and the reviewer/editor in order to understand the demands of the different parts involved.
After the compact training, you know the key rules of the peer-review process. You know how to set-up a personal publishing strategy. You are well-equipped for planning and starting to write your own papers. You have become a more efficient writer and have a greater chance to get your manuscripts published.
