The High Performance Center for Simulation and Software-based Innovation strengthens brings together since 2016, the two Fraunhofer Institutes for Industrial Mathematics (ITWM) and for Experimental Software Engineering (IESE) with the University of Kaiserslautern, as well as the University of Applied Sciences Kaiserslautern. The center also includes other close cooperation partners, such as the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence, the Institute for Composite Materials and the Max Planck Institute for Software Systems. Partners from economy are, amongst others: BASF SE, Daimler AG, John Deere GmbH & Co. KG, Liebherr, Procter & Gamble, Robert Bosch GmbH, Schmitz Cargobull AG and Volvo Construction Equipment Germany GmbH.
The center offers a nationwide unique infrastructure in the area of IT research, especially in hardware, software and network based digital Technologies.
